The Directorate of Publications and Public Relations is setup, to render better services to the academic community. Since its inception it has been constantly striving towards creating a vibrant and intellectual image of the University. It has won laurels of the public, media and academic community as a whole for keeping the pubic abreast with the manifold achievements of the University through various media. The Directorate continues to accomplish the task of providing guidance to the student community and is also responsible for routing and monitoring all press releases, advertisement press briefings and other forms of campaigns of the University.
The maiden venture of the Directorate in the field of publication was materialised with the successful publication of the book “Kerala Economy trajectories, challenges and implications”. The book was released by Sri. Ibrahim Kunju, Hon’ble Minister for Industries, Govt. of Kerala. This was followed by “Resource Based Industries in Kerala” which was released by Sri. Padmarajan, Vice-Chairman, Kerala Planning Commission. The Directorate is preparing to take up such ventures in the years to come.
The magnitude of its success can be measured from the milestones crossed in a short span of time. The Directorate successfully and promptly publishes the Annual Report, University Diary and University Journal ‘Tejus’ besides providing sufficient information to the public. Apart from organizing, conducting and facilitating academic and cultural programmes the Directorate is planning to extend its services in the field of providing acadamic information, Publication of academic books, hosting of workshops and seminars etc. Charting of new programmes to improve the quality and reliability is in the agenda of the Directorate.
