Japanese Delegation Wooing Indian Youth     

 

Kochi: Japan is ageing and is looking to Indian youth especially in the  field of Information Technology to come to Japan, said Mr. Yashinobu Hoshino, Vice Mayor, Matsue City Hall, Shimane Perfecture. He was addressing the CUSAT community at the seminar organised as part of a plethora of co-operative ventures on the anvil between CUSAT and a handful of Japanese Universities. The present visit of the delegation comprising 9 experts from different universities, administrative and technical institutions is as part of the India-Japan Treaty, he added. Experts from Universities of Shimane, Niigata, J.F Oberlin and other Institutions gave presentations, both oral and visual, about the opportunities offered by Japan. The seminar also offered opportunity to the CUSAT students to interact and hold discussions with Japanese experts. CUSAT Pro VC Dr. P. G. Sankaran, and IRAA Director Dr. K.K Saju spoke representing CUSAT.
