Turnaround time for various tests depends on the backlog.

Calibration is a process of verification of operational performance of a test and measuring instrument of unverified accuracy by comparing them to standards of higher accuracy. In the Calibration and Testing Services (CTS) division of STIC, calibration facility as above is available for various parameters like Electrical, Thermal and Mechanical parameters. Other major division of STIC is Sophisticated Analytical Instrument Facility (SAIF) is a National Facility funded by Dept. of Science & Technology Govt. of India. In this division, various types of elemental analysis and detection facility are available which are detailed in the table.

    •

    Thermal Calibration

Calibration facility from -50 to 1200ºC. Calibration of temperature measuring sensors like glass thermometers, thermocouples etc. Facility is also available for calibration ovens, furnace, incubators, refrigerated baths etc.
