CDeC's MOOCs are pre-recorded classes delivered by expert faculty members from CUSAT across various disciplines. These courses are designed to cater to the evolving needs of learners, enabling them to upskill or reskill in domains that are critical to the current job market. One of the key advantages of CDeC's offerings is the flexibility they provide—there are no age or educational qualification barriers, making the courses open to anyone with a desire to learn and grow.

The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) has launched the Centre for the Development of e-Content (CDeC), a pioneering initiative aimed at enhancing digital learning through the creation of skill and job-oriented Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). The center focuses on producing high-quality online courses that blend theoretical knowledge with practical, industry-relevant skills, making education accessible to a broader audience.
Upon successful completion of each course, students will receive credits that are recognized under the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) system. This system allows learners to accumulate and transfer credits, which can be used to fulfill academic requirements in various educational institutions. CDeC's initiative is aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes flexible, lifelong learning pathways that empower individuals to advance their careers and education at their own pace.
